Set in Rome in the 1950s, Fellini’s depiction of a civilization in decline spares no one, from the poor and pious to the rich and famous.

It covers seven days and nights in the life of a reporter, and his encounters with the women in his life. The film, in black and white, includes the Trevi Fountain scene – one of the iconic moments in cinema history – and the famous opening scene of a plaster statue of Christ being carried across Rome by helicopter.

Winner of the Palme D’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 1960.

La Dolce Vita is not part of the Film Club programme this year and the £1.00 concession for members does not apply. Tickets can be obtained through the Festival Box Office and on the door.
